Since I started working in Madrid, despite my legal practice was not focused at all on small investments, I became really interested in start-ups. Not only from a legal perspective but olso from the creative point of view.
Once you get deep into what the start-up community is developing around the world you become fascinated about the amazing projects that are being developed every day and that not a lot of people hear about.
Technology, climate change, health, arts, finance... every aspect of your life is being reshaped as we speak by creative, hard-working, innovative people.
So I decided to take part of it. First, I came up with an opportunity to invest in a Sitka Capital, a fund raised by Carlos Guerrero, one of the best known start-up lawyers in Spain. Together with some other partners, we invest in innovative technological companies with great growth potential.
Through Sitka Capital, we created Sitka BAN, a business angel's network focused on promoting the co-investment in start-ups in Europe.
I have also invested in Akola Venture Builder, focused on creating start-ups that work in the intersection between technology and creativity.
Our first "venture" is LexGo, a market place for lawyers that is trying to disrupt the way users find a lawyer that meet their specific needs.
Finally, I participated in the CrowdCube equity rising campaign of Wave, a location services application with crazy metrics, a great team and that intend to be the leading location app in the market.
