Welcome everyone!

First rule for lawyers: always begin identifying of the parties. You have to know who is saying what its being said.

When I started working as a Junior Associate in Madrid, that was the first lesson I learned from the partner, so I guess that it is appropriate to introduce myself a little bit better in case you end up reading my posts and you want to learn more about the person behind the keyboard.

First of all, despite being a lawyer I don’t really know how to write nice and pretty, and specially not in English. They say excellence comes with practice and more practice, so one part of this blog is trying to improve my writing. After 4 years as an attorney I finally figured out something that may help......

I mentioned on my first post that in my opinion the practice of the law these days does not resemble at all how attorneys practiced law 20 or 30 years ago, and that evolution has been mainly caused by technology.

New developments in what is called as TechLaw are disrupting the market. Let's take RocketLawyer for example, a start-up from California that provides online legal services. Welcome everyone to my personal ".com"!

While writing this post, I am still uncertain about what I want to say here, about where I want to take this web. Hopefully I will find it soon.

I think I should start this first post trying to explain why I decided to create my personal web page.

As a young lawyer (or at least I still consider my self young at 28), I have earned certain experience both as an associate at a law firm (Hogan Lovells) and as an in-house counsel in a multilateral development institution (International Finance Corporation).

A native of Spain, I am dually qualified to practice law in Spain and in the State of new York.


I began my legal career as an associate in the Finance and Real Estate practice groups of an international law firm. 

After my time in Spain, I attended Georgetown University Law Center and graduated from my LLM in 2015, focused on international business and economic law. 

After acting as legal counsel for an multilateral organization in its Mexico City office, I am now working on the international project finance department of Hogan Lovells.

I am also a start-up investor  and consultant always looking for new opportunities.
